NESA Government Requirement
150min of PE each week
Is Your School Compliant?
The NESA Education Standards Authority (NESA) state that students in K to 6 are expected to participate in a minimum of 150 minutes of planned moderate with some vigorous physical activity across the school week. This can be achieved in a number of ways and does include weekly sport and other structured activities (not recess). The 150min can be covered by an internal PE teacher, external provider and/or classroom teacher and we have determined that most schools would need to do the following each week to maintain the minimum compliance. Are you using all of these? Are you compliant to this government directive? Does physical education and health matter at your school?

Unexpected Feedback
“I just wanted to express our sincere thanks for the work you have done this term. You have really become one of the treasured school staff members. The students have loved engaging in sport with you every week and I am grateful for your flexibility and obvious passion for PE”
“Just want to say again THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU for giving us Jesi. She is unbelievable! Will be singing praises on this one for you.”
“I just wanted to let you know about last terms PE program; everything went well and Brittany was Brilliant! We received lots of positive feedback from the parents, staff and children. We always look forward to having Got Game at our school because every sports program that you deliver to our school is Fantastic!”
“Are you here to observe Zak? Can I just tell you how fantastic he is! He’s been the best sports teacher I’ve seen in schools and he is always positive with the kids & staff”
“I just wanted to let you know that Kelsey said yesterday how impressed she is with the two Got Game teachers who are working with us this term. Many thanks – our Tuesday and Friday afternoons are great fun for the kids this term!”
“Just wanted to touch base with you to let you know how well our gymnastics lessons went today. It was all the kids spoke about all day – they were so excited to get into the lesson, which was a great consolidation of skills they learned last year. Louie was fantastic – very clear with instructions and very patient with some fairly uncoordinated kids.”
“I want to mention how pleased the staff and I were to know that Steph & Lee will again be joining our staff. They have instantly became part of the teaching team here, they are very professional in their interactions with staff and students, and their energy and enthusiasm encourages the students to participate more fully in the lessons each week”
“Hayden has done an absolutely incredible job with my class. I have a very lively class and he has blown me away in regards to his professionalism, effort and passion towards his job and the wellbeing of the students he teaches. He has got to know my students well and knows them all by their names and what they are capable of – which means a lot to me and my students”
“Everything I asked of Rob he went over and beyond what was asked of him. He organised and ran the entire Carnival for us, while also providing the equipment and staff. All three staff members were professional and helpful, enthusiastic throughout the entire day. While the students were engaged and challenged the whole day! Saying it was the best day!”
“I am so very impressed by the program so far this term. My children come home raving about the program their teacher Emily! They go on and on about how they love Athletics and enjoy Emily’s lessons. She has made such an impact on them, as they were previously never interested in physical lessons and now it’s their favourite lesson of the week”
“As an ex-Sports Coordinator who has dealt with a lot of external providers, I am very impressed by your teachers dedication, work ethic and approach to educating the students. They demonstrate a professional manner all the time and build trusting relationships with my students. All my students look forward to attending their PE lessons every week.”
